The project is centred on value addition of fruits both exotic and indigenous. That being the case, much attention is on the indigenous fruits which have been neglected. In addition, these fruits are seasonal hence they will be available all year round through making different products. As their characteristic they have important nutrients thus nutrient availability is enhanced. Some of the benefits of the indigenous fruits are listed below:
